Hello beautiful!
I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I worked at my full-time job but got to enjoy yesterday with my husband! We took some blog photos and enjoyed each other's company! There's nothing I love more than being able to work by that man's side!

For the month of September, we will be traveling through the book of Exodus on every Tuesday! I have been studying through Exodus for a few months now and have learned so much. My Bible study process is a little lengthy but I will be sharing more on Instagram stories about that later! Let's dig in!

Faith Talk
The old testament always points us to Jesus. Time and time again, we can find that what we are studying is showing the way to our Savior. The key focus of Exodus is deliverance. God delivered the Hebrews out of Egypt. Over and over He shows up, ready to rescue them, even when they are ungrateful or complaining. What a mighty God we serve, y'all!

We start off in the first chapter with a little background into what was happening in Egypt. God had made a promise to Abraham in Genesis 15:5 that his lineage would outnumber the stars in the sky. We see in Exodus 1:12 that God followed through with that promise. "But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad." This scripture is, of course, in reference to the children of Israel or Hebrews. God was rewarding His chosen people.

If you're familiar with midwives in Biblical times, then you know that midwives were given such a position because they were barren - they couldn't have children of their own. When the midwives were commanded to kill every male child that was born to the Hebrew women they did not obey. These women feared the Lord, which means that they had reverence and awe for the Lord. Psalm 25:14 says "The Lord is a friend to those who fear Him.

The Lord was more than a friend to these women. It says in verse 21 that God gave the midwives families because they feared Him. God rewarded these women for their faithfulness to Him and opened their wombs. Hebrews 11:6 says "He rewards those who seek Him."

God is so faithful to us, friends. The part that usually crumbles or fails is our faithfulness to Him. I can honestly say that I have been struggling with this these past few months. God gave me clear direction about something He wanted me to change in my life weeks ago and I just now stepped forward in faith to do that. But guess what? From the day I said "Yes, Lord." and was in unity with Him on this, He has rewarded me more than I could imagine. God is faithful. God is love. God is your friend.

Style Talk
If you know me well, then you know that I love earth tones and you also know that I love Free People! So, when I saw these pieces in my closet, I just knew they had to be put together! This Free People top is pretty much sold out everywhere but it is currently available through this one retailer and is only $30! It's definitely worth it - I wear it so much! I picked up these leather sandals back in the spring and you can see by the sole that I love them! Super comfortable and worth the pennies. I would't share if I didn't love! I'm also wanting the closed-toe version for fall but can't decide on a color! Tell me on Insta which you think I should get!

I paired these lovely pieces with my favorite Topshop denim that I have distressed a little more than they were at my purchase day... but hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right? I also love this Madewell tote and it has been my bag of the summer! I also have the matching wallet!

I know I am going to get asked a lot of questions about this necklace... but I have bad news. This was a gift given out at our women's conference in May! They were specially made for the conference. Something that's really cool about these is that they were made by women who have been rescued from trafficking. I love supporting causes like this and receiving this beautiful necklace brought tears to my eyes. God is a healer. God is a deliverer. Trust Him to lead your life.

Much love,
