Journey Through Exodus Pt. 4 // Be Still and Know

Hello beautiful!
It's our last week digging into the book of Exodus together! After this week, I encourage you to finish reading throughout the rest of the book on your own or with a friend! I can tell you that there is still so much truth to be discussed within this Old Testament book!

Today I want to touch on some truths found in chapter 14. I don't know about you, but life sometimes scares the bejeezus out of me! I get all worried and frazzled, afraid that nothing is going to work out and that provision just won't be there. You know something that I've always noticed as a common denominator when I feel this way? That I wasn't spending time with the Lord each day - in prayer, in the Word, and just being still in His presence.

Verse 10 in this chapter spills out some deep truth. The people of Israel were coming upon the Red Sea, no escape in view, with the Egyptian army right on their tails! They were scared! I mean, I'm pretty sure I would be too! But you see, they had been following a cloud, this cloud was God, and that's what they had kept their eyes on for so long. The second they took their eyes off of that cloud and turned to look at the Egyptians fear crept in.

We need to keep our eyes on Jesus. Yes, there are times when things are just going to suck and be super hard to face. But I can promise you, when you are keeping your eyes on Jesus and not turning back, or to the left or right, He will deliver you. He will see that you are provided for. He will FIGHT for you - you just need to be still. Faith and fear can't live in the same heart, girlfriend. One will eventually win.

I challenge you this week to spend just 10 minutes out of your day with the Lord. See what happens. I dare you. Swap out your usual Beyonce jam for some Hillsong and see how your Spirit changes. Instead of complaining to your coworker about whatever may be bothering you today, share it with the Creator of the Universe - the One Who can fight for you and actually help you through this battle.

"Be still and know that I am God."
Psalm 47:10

Next Tuesday starts a totally different series and I'm sharing it in a way I never have before!!! I can't wait for y'all to join in! Be sure to hop over to my Instagram to take a poll on what we should study next! Have an amazing day, babes!

Much love,
Megan
